About Elegance

Elegance is a one-page portfolio template for fashion models, built like one issue of a magazine: a cover, the book as double-page spreads, the digitals, a stockists page of credits and a back cover with the booking form.

The homepage opens on a full-screen cover - your name set across the top as the masthead, the picture edge to edge, and your comp card printed along the foot as the cover lines: height, bust, waist, hips, shoe, dress, hair and eyes, with the agency line beside them. Under it the whole book runs as a wall of spreads read straight from the Portfolio app: every story is two facing pages meeting on a gutter, a running foot with folios under each, and a landscape cover runs across both pages as a bleed. Every spread opens the full story.

A filmstrip of digitals follows, dated and unretouched, then a sixty-word note in your own words with the bookings you take as chips, a stockists list of every publication, house and campaign with the year of the last booking, and the back cover: a five-line booking form beside the agency box, its ways in and a printed barcode.

The design is paper and ink - a warm off-white ground, near-black type, one oxblood hairline on folios and rules - with Source Serif 4 for the masthead and the headings and Source Sans Pro for everything else. The Portfolio app is wired for stories: a spread index with a credit ledger under every cover and a look detail page that prints the credits as a single register line, so the same story reads on the wall, on the index and on its own page. The header stays out of the way, the footer is the navigation, and the back-to-top mark is a hairline arrow.
