The questions we hear most often, each with a short answer and a link to the full article where there is more to know. If yours is not here, contact support.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan needs no payment details and gives you a published site at yourname.folio.page with up to 5 pages, 50 media files and 100 MB of storage, plus the Portfolio, Links Page and Resume apps. Free sites show a small "Powered by FolioPage" link in the footer. See Compare plans.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You build pages by adding ready-made sections and clicking on text and images to change them, and the Design editor handles colors, fonts and layout. If you do want to add your own CSS or HTML, the Pro and Max plans include a Custom Code page for it.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes, on the Pro and Max plans. You add one DNS record at your domain provider and FolioPage issues the SSL certificate for you; one custom domain per site. Your free subdomain keeps working alongside it. See Connect a domain you own.

Can I change my template later?

Yes. Reset site in your site's Settings rebuilds it from any template, or from blank, while keeping its address, plan, media library and whichever content you choose to carry over. See Reset a site to a fresh template.

How many sites can I have?

Only one of your sites can be on the Free plan. Each additional site needs its own Pro or Max plan before it can go online; until then it stays fully editable but unpublished. Plans and billing are per site, not per account.

Do I have to confirm my email address?

Only to publish. You can build and edit your site without confirming, but it stays a draft with a "Coming soon" page until you click the link in the welcome email. Accounts created with Google are confirmed automatically. See Verify your email address.

Can I change my site's address?

Yes. On the Domain page you can change your subdomain once every 24 hours; Free sites need at least 5 characters, Pro and Max at least 3. See Your free subdomain.

Can visitors contact me through my site?

Contact forms are a Pro and Max feature: Pro sites can receive 1000 form messages a month and Max sites 5000, delivered to your email. On the Free plan, link to your email address or your social profiles instead. See Add a contact form to your site.

Is there a free trial of Pro or Max?

No. The Free plan is the way to try FolioPage before paying, and every paid feature is listed on the pricing page. Upgrading takes effect right away once payment goes through.

How do I upgrade?

Open the site in your dashboard, click Plan & Usage in the sidebar, choose Pro or Max and monthly or yearly billing, and complete the checkout. You can move up from Pro to Max later; moving down happens by cancelling. See Upgrade a site to Pro or Max.

How do I cancel?

On the site's Plan & Usage page click Cancel next to your current plan. You keep every paid feature until the end of the billing period you have already paid for; after that the site shows an inactive page until you move it to Free or resubscribe. See Cancel a subscription and Refunds.

Can I delete a site or my whole account?

Both. Delete site in a site's Settings takes it offline and stops its billing immediately, and you can restore it from the My Sites page for a short grace period before it is removed for good. Deleting your account is permanent; see Delete your account.
