On this page
You can cancel a site's Pro or Max subscription at any time from its Plan & Usage page. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: the site keeps every paid feature until that date, and nothing is charged after it. Because billing is per site, cancelling one site leaves your other sites exactly as they are.
Step 1: open Plan & Usage
- Open the site in the dashboard.
- Choose Plan & Usage in the sidebar, under Manage.
The card at the top reads You're on Pro (Monthly) (or your plan and billing period) with the renewal date.
Step 2: cancel
- Click Cancel on that card.
- A confirmation opens: Cancel your Pro plan? It tells you the exact date until which the site keeps its features and reminds you that cancelling does not refund the current period.
- Click Cancel subscription to confirm, or Keep my plan to close without changes.
The card now reads Your Pro (Monthly) ends on followed by the date. FolioPage emails you a confirmation.
Until the end date
Nothing changes for visitors or for you until the end of the paid period. Your custom domain, custom code, premium sections and everything else on the plan keep working, and you can carry on editing as usual.
Changing your mind
As long as the end date has not passed, click Reactivate on the same card. The subscription continues as before, renews on its normal date, and you do not need to go through checkout again or enter a new card.
What happens on the end date
When the period ends, the subscription stops and the site becomes inactive. Visitors see a notice that the site has expired instead of your pages, and the Plan & Usage card reads Your subscription has ended. Your content is kept. You then choose one of three options:
- Move to Free plan - the site goes back online on the Free plan. If it uses more than Free allows (for example a custom domain or more than 5 pages), you are asked to clear those first. See What happens when a site moves to Free.
- Resubscribe - the plan cards now offer Resubscribe as Pro (Monthly) and the other plans and periods. Pick one and go through checkout again.
- Delete the site - see Delete or restore a site.
Warning: Cancelling does not move the site to Free by itself. Until you pick one of the options above, the site stays offline for visitors after the end date.
Cancelling to switch to a lower plan
Plan changes from the plan cards only go up, so cancelling is also how you move a site from Max to Pro, or from yearly to monthly. Cancel, wait for the end date, then choose Resubscribe as Pro (Monthly) or whichever option you want. Your content, design and settings stay in place in the meantime.
Refunds
Cancelling stops future charges; it does not by itself refund the period already paid. If your last payment was made less than 14 days ago you can ask for a refund instead, see Refunds.
