Opening a site in the dashboard takes you straight to its homepage in the visual editor. Everything else for that site sits in the sidebar on the left, grouped by how often you need it. This is a quick tour of the main areas.
The sidebar
At the top you see your site's name and address. A small line underneath tells you when the site is not live yet, or offers Upgrade your Free plan on Free sites. Below that, the items are grouped:
| Group | Items | What they are for |
|---|---|---|
| Pages | Your first pages, then All pages | Open a page in the editor. All pages lists every page, lets you search, and is where you add new ones. |
| Appearance | Design, Navigation | Site-wide look (colors, fonts, logo, header, footer) and your menus. |
| Apps | Media, then each enabled app such as Portfolio, Resume, Links Page, Blog, Cookie Banner, and All Apps | Your image library and the content apps you have switched on. All Apps is where you turn apps on or off. |
| Manage | Social Profiles, Domain, Plan & Usage, Custom Code, Settings | Set-and-forget configuration: your social links, your address, your plan and usage, custom CSS and HTML (Pro and Max), and general settings such as site name and publishing. |
Each group heading collapses when you click it. Some items, like Design and Portfolio, open their own sub-menu that slides in over the main sidebar; use the back arrow at the top to return.
At the bottom of the sidebar, the FolioPage mark takes you to My Sites, and your avatar opens the account menu.

The editor
The editor shows your page exactly as visitors see it, inside a browser-style frame.
- The control in the middle of the top bar switches between Edit, Desktop and Mobile. In Edit mode you click text to change it and click images to replace them; the two preview modes show the page at each size without editing handles.
- Hover between sections to reveal an Add Section button, and hover over a section for its toolbar, where the gear opens Section options (spacing, background and more).
- In the frame's own bar, the gear opens Page options (title, URL, description, heading) and the clock opens Page history, where you can go back to an earlier version.
- On the right, Update live site appears when visitors are not yet seeing your latest changes, next to View Live Page.
Edits are saved as you make them; there is no Save button in the editor. Read Build a page with sections.
Quick search
Press Cmd+K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows, or click the search icon at the top of any screen, to open the quick search. Type a few letters to jump to any page, app, design panel or setting, to run actions such as New page or Update live site, to switch to another of your sites, or to find a help article.
The account menu
Click your avatar (bottom of the sidebar, or top right on smaller screens) for:
- Profile - your name, email address, avatar, password and notification settings.
- Billing - shown once a site has billing history; opens your invoices and payment method.
- Help center and Contact support.
- Log out, and a light or dark theme switch.
My Sites
My Sites lists every site on your account with an Open button for the dashboard and a View live button for the published site. Add a new website creates another site (a second site needs a paid plan to go online). Sites you have deleted recently appear at the bottom with a Restore option until they are removed for good; see Delete or restore a site.
On smaller screens
On narrower windows the sidebar becomes a drawer: tap the menu button at the top left to open it, and it closes when you pick a destination. Editing works best on a desktop screen.
