Every FolioPage site starts with pages you build in the editor. Apps add ready-made features on top: a project portfolio, a resume with a PDF, a links page, a blog, and a cookie notice. You switch each app on or off per site, so one site can run a portfolio and a blog while another only uses a links page.
The apps

Resume and Links are switched on automatically when you create a new site. Portfolio, Blog and Cookie Banner wait until you enable them. Each app has its own article: Portfolio, Links page, Resume, Blog and Cookie banner.
Turn an app on
- Open your site in the dashboard and click All Apps at the bottom of the Apps group in the sidebar.
- Find the app under Available Apps and click Enable.
- Confirm in the dialog. The app is switched on for this site and appears on your live site right away.
Once enabled, the app moves up to the Apps group at the top of the page. Its name becomes a link to its own dashboard section, and a Settings button sits underneath it.
Where an app appears on your site
Apps that create pages claim a path on your site: /portfolio, /resume, /links and /blog by default. The path is shown next to the app's name on the All Apps page and can be changed in each app's settings. If a page already uses that path, the app picks the next free one (for example /portfolio-2).
Enabled apps are also listed at the end of the Pages group in the sidebar and on the Pages Dashboard, marked with an App badge. Click one to preview its live page on desktop or mobile without leaving the dashboard - the preview is browsable, so you can open a project or a post and click through the app's pages the way a visitor would; Manage takes you back to the app's content.
Enabling an app does not add it to your menu. To link to it, open Navigation, add a menu item and choose the App link type. See Build your site menu.
Note: Changes made inside an app (a new project, an edited link, a new post, new settings) wait for you: an Update live site button appears at the top of the app's screens, and your edits reach visitors when you click it. Switching an app on or off updates the live site on its own. See why your changes do not show on the live site yet.
Turn an app off
- On the All Apps page, click Disable next to the app.
- Confirm in the dialog.
The app's pages disappear from your live site and its section leaves the sidebar, but nothing is deleted. Your items, posts, links and settings are kept, so enabling the app again later restores everything, including the path it used before.
Hide an app from the sidebar
If you use an app rarely, you can keep it running but tidy your sidebar: switch off Show in sidebar under the app on the All Apps page. The app keeps working on your live site and you can still open it by clicking its name on the All Apps page.
Apps your plan does not include
An app your site's plan does not include is shown with a plan badge and an Upgrade to enable link; its Enable button is disabled. Blog is the only app like this today, as it is part of the Max plan. If a site moves to a plan that no longer includes an app you already enabled, the app stays on and can be disabled at any time. Its content is never removed.
Media is not an app
The Media library appears first on the All Apps page with an Always on button. It is the image and file store that your pages and every app draw from, so it cannot be turned off.
