On this page
The Resume app turns a form in your dashboard into two things: a resume page on your site and a PDF version generated from the same content. Edit once and both update, so you never email an outdated CV again.
Turn it on
Resume is switched on automatically when you create a site. If you turned it off earlier, open All Apps in the sidebar, click Enable next to Resume and confirm.
Open Resume in the sidebar to edit it. Your resume page is at yourname.folio.page/resume and the PDF at yourname.folio.page/resume.pdf. Use View Resume Page to open the live page and View PDF in the Resume sidebar to open the PDF.
Fill in the basics
The Basics card holds who you are and how to reach you: Full name, Headline, Summary, Email, Phone, Location and Website. Click Add photo to pick a portrait from your media library and use the Show photo switch to decide whether it appears.
Add sections and entries
A new resume starts with Experience, Education and Skills sections. To add more:
- At the bottom of the editor, pick a type from the Section type dropdown: Experience, Education, Skills, Languages, Certifications, Projects or Custom.
- Click Add section.
- Inside the section, click Add entry and fill in the fields. Each type has its own fields, for example a job title and organisation for Experience or a degree and institution for Education.
You can rename a section by editing its title, drag sections and entries to reorder them, and delete either with the bin icon. The Visible switch on a section hides it from the page and the PDF without deleting it.
Nothing is saved until you click Save changes at the top of the editor, so make all your edits and then save once.

Settings
Open Settings in the Resume sidebar:
- Page path: the URL of the resume page,
resumeby default. - PDF path: the URL of the PDF,
resume.pdfby default. It must end in.pdf. - Show download button: adds a Download PDF button to the resume page.
- Heading Title and Heading Description: the heading at the top of the resume page, also used for its search engine title and description. The title is required.
- Template: the layout used on the page and in the PDF. Each template styles both, so they always match.
Click Save changes when you are done.
About the PDF
The PDF is generated on demand from your saved resume, so it always reflects your latest changes. It opens in the browser, where visitors can save or print it. On the Free plan the PDF carries a small "Made with FolioPage" line in the footer; Pro and Max remove it.
Limits per plan
| Free | Pro | Max | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sections | 6 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Entries per section | 3 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Templates | Default only | All | All |
When a Free site reaches a limit, the Add section or Add entry button is disabled and a note explains the limit. If a site later moves to Free with more sections or entries than the plan allows, the extra ones are kept in your dashboard but trimmed from the page and PDF until you upgrade again.
Tip: To feature your background on your homepage, add a section from the Resume category in the page editor. It shows your name, headline and a selection of your entries, pulled from the app automatically.
