About Signal

Signal is a one page site for a professional whose credentials are the pitch: a lawyer, a consultant, an expert witness, an engineer, anyone whose reader wants the facts before the story. It is built as a document rather than a landing page. Everything the visitor needs sits on one sheet, printed rules and all, and the page they print looks like the page they read.

It opens on a letterhead, not a hero. A file reference sits at the top left and a last updated line at the top right, over the name at display size, a role line, an admissions line and one short paragraph. Beneath them a solid button pulls the CV as a PDF, a second button prints the page, and a ruled register carries the email, the direct line, the address and the availability date. A hairline framed portrait plate with its own caption bar sits beside it.

Below that, five numbered schedules. Representative matters arrive as a register: a reference chip, the engagement in the heading face, the amount at issue hard right in tabular figures, and three boxed cells carrying the same three facts for every entry. Admissions and qualifications run as a two column ruled register. The career is drawn live from the Resume app as a hairline ledger. A fee schedule sets each basis against its rate with a terms block as small print. The page closes on an instruction block: three ways in, a note on what a first message has to contain, and a single line of terms. There is no form anywhere, because a document does not have one.

The full CV lives one click away at its own address, laid out as the same numbered schedules and generating a PDF automatically. Barlow and Source Sans Pro set the type in tabular figures throughout, and the palette is a pale blue grey bond ground, a white sheet, near black navy headings and one deep navy accent for the rules, the chips and the buttons. A slim sticky bar keeps the CV button in reach.

The Resume app is switched on and filled in. Portfolio, Links and Blog are off by design.
