FolioPage is open in public beta

As of today, anyone can create a FolioPage account and publish a portfolio website. The beta label means some pieces are still being finished and feedback still shapes them. Everything you build now stays yours, on the same address, when the label comes off.

What is in the beta

The whole product is open:

• Templates. Every template is a complete site with pages, sections, menus, design and sample images in place. You pick one, sign up, and land in the editor with the site already built. Browse them in the template gallery.
• The page editor. Pages are made of sections. Add them from the library, drag them into order, and edit text and images on the page itself, with a desktop and mobile preview before you publish.
• The design editor. Fonts, colors, the header, the footer and the menus are set once and apply to the whole site.
• Four apps. Portfolio for project pages, Links for a links page, Resume for a resume page with a matching PDF, and Blog on the Max plan.
• A free address. Every site publishes on a folio.page address. Pro and Max sites can use a domain you own.

What beta means for you

Three things:

1. It is free to use. The Free plan has no time limit and asks for no card. The pricing page lists what Pro and Max add.
2. Rough edges are possible. If a section behaves oddly or a page does not look the way you expect, tell us through the contact page and describe what you were doing. Reports from beta users go straight into the fix list.
3. Nothing you build is temporary. Sites, pages, media and settings carry over unchanged. There is no reset at the end of the beta.

How to start

1. Open the template gallery and preview a few designs on desktop and mobile.
2. Click Use this template on the one whose structure fits your work. Creating the account builds the site for you; the help center walks through it.
3. Replace the sample work with yours, section by section.
4. Publish. The site is live on its folio.page address the same minute.
