About Strata

Strata is a multi-page starter for architects and small design practices whose work deserves to be read like a drawing set. Everything on it borrows from the sheet: a title-block header with ruled cells, a numbered menu, index-numbered section headings, dimension strings and level datums, and a footer laid out as a title block.

The homepage opens with a drawing-sheet hero, a headline beside a framed photograph with a dimension line above it and a four-cell title block below, then runs through figures drawn as dimension strings, six selected projects as editorial rows pulled live from the Portfolio app, a drawing set of plans, sections and elevations, a datum-level biography, client quotes, the latest journal posts and a closing call to action. Studio pairs a five-question interview with a studio wall, awards and press, and a CV card. Approach lays a project out as a five-stage programme bar, lists the kinds of work taken on, prices the fees plainly and answers the usual questions. Contact is one ruled sheet: details in captioned cells beside a form whose fields are cells too.

Three apps are wired and full. The Portfolio index is a works register, a ruled table with a thumbnail, location and year per project and category filters, and each project opens as a split case study with a sticky project-info panel; twelve projects with several photographs each are included. The Journal runs on the Blog app with four long posts, and the CV app carries a complete resume with a generated PDF.

The design is white and graphite with one cold dark-blue accent, Barlow Condensed headlines with IBM Plex Sans text, square corners and no shadows. The demo content belongs to a one-architect practice in Edinburgh working in stone, brick and timber; every photograph, drawing and line of copy is replaceable from the dashboard.
