On this page
Every site starts with a homepage. You can add more pages, such as About, Services or Contact, and each one gets its own address on your site. This article covers the page list itself; building the content of a page is covered in Build a page with sections.
Where your pages live
Open a site in the dashboard. The Pages group at the top of the sidebar lists your pages, homepage first. Click a page to open it in the editor. Click All pages to open the Pages Dashboard, where you can search, reorder, duplicate and delete pages.
Pages that your enabled apps add to the site - Portfolio, Links, Resume or Blog - are listed after your own pages with an App badge. Click one to preview its live page on desktop or mobile and click through it the way a visitor would; Manage takes you to the app's content instead. App pages do not count against your plan's page limit.

Create a page
- In the sidebar, click All pages, then New page.
- Enter a Page title, for example
About, and click Create. - The new page opens in the editor, ready for its first section.
The page's URL is made from its title (About becomes /about). If that address is already taken by another page or by an app such as your Portfolio, a number is added (/about-2). New pages are published straight away, so they are visible to visitors as soon as your site is published and you have updated the live site.
Rename a page or change its URL
- Open the page and click the Page options gear in the top-right corner of the browser frame above your page. You can also hover a page in the sidebar and click Page options.
- On the General tab, change the Page name or the URL.
The URL can only contain lowercase letters, numbers and dashes. If the address you type is already in use, FolioPage suggests a free one you can apply with one click.
Warning: Changing a page's URL breaks any menu item or link that points to the old address. Update your menu afterwards in Navigation.
Choose your homepage
Any page can become the homepage. Open the page, open Page options and click Set as homepage. The previous homepage becomes a regular page again, reachable at its own URL. A draft page that you promote is published automatically.
The homepage is always published and cannot be deleted. To remove it, make another page the homepage first.
Publish a page or keep it as a draft
Every page has a status of Published or Draft. Draft pages are hidden from visitors, but you can still edit them. Flip the status switch at the top of the General tab in Page options, or use the publish toggle on each row of the Pages Dashboard.
Drafts also open when you browse your site in the editor's preview, so you can check one in place before publishing - a crossed-out eye icon appears in the top bar to remind you that visitors cannot see the page yet.
Reorder pages
On the Pages Dashboard, hover a page and drag it by the handle on the left. This changes the order of your page list only. It does not change your site menu, which you build separately in Navigation.
Duplicate a page
Click the Duplicate icon on a page row, or use Duplicate under Actions in Page options. The copy is created as a draft with "(copy)" added to its name, so you can rework it before anyone sees it.
Delete a page
Click the Delete icon on a page row, or Delete under Actions in Page options, then confirm with Delete in the dialog.
Warning: Deleting a page is permanent and removes all of its content. Page history cannot bring a deleted page back. If you only want to hide a page, set it to Draft instead.
How many pages can you have?
| Plan | Pages per site |
|---|---|
| Free | 5 |
| Pro | 50 |
| Max | Unlimited |
Duplicating a page counts towards the limit too. When you reach it, the New page dialog tells you, and you can either delete a page you no longer need or upgrade your site.
