Fresco - Art portfolio template

About Fresco

Fresco is a one-page showcase template for art jewelers, enamelists and object makers whose work is photographed on white and deserves to be seen whole, with nothing framing it.

The homepage opens straight onto the work. There is no hero: pieces from every series are laid loose across the page at uneven sizes and heights, and each one is blended into the page's own lime-white ground, so a brooch shot on a white sweep reads as if it were resting on the paper. Every piece carries a printed catalogue caption with its title in italics, the year and the materials. Below it, the series run as one full-bleed frieze of worn photographs, butted edge to edge over a ruled inscription band with a roman numeral, title and year under each plate, and you can drag it sideways.

After the work come three short strips. The about is set as a reference-book entry with the surname first, a birth line, a short first-person paragraph, a row of see-also chips and a small portrait in the margin. A Held in list names the museums and private collections that own a piece, each row with a small picture of that piece. A quiet contact form asks for a name, an email, a date and what the note is about.

Behind the homepage, the Portfolio app holds ten galleries of ten to twelve images each, filed under Brooches, Neckpieces, Rings and Studio. The index is a covers wall with a category rail, and each gallery page opens on its worn cover beside a label of year, materials, size and availability, then lays the rest of the pieces loose on the page.

The type pairs Noto Serif with Quattrocento Sans on a lime-white ground, with a terre verte green as the only accent, square corners and no shadows. It is built for collectors, gallerists and curators, who expect a gallery wall, full labels and no hard sell.
