About Pixel

Pixel is a one-page portfolio for packaging designers: labels, cartons, cans and pouches shown the way they end up in the world, as pack shots on white hanging on the studio's pegboard. It is set on a cool off-white board with one price-ticket red as the only accent, so the packs carry every other color.

The homepage opens straight on the pegboard: forty frames pulled from inside your ten most recent jobs, each hanging by a tab from a drawn peg at its natural size, tilted a degree and swinging under the pointer, packed as a masonry with a row of punched price-tag chips that filter them in place. Below it, every job is filed as a job ticket: the cover in a die-cut window, the client, format, run and year read off the item's own fields, and a barcode struck from its address. An about strip carries a portrait, a short paragraph, tag chips and a facts panel ruled like a nutrition label whose last line is your process; three services clipped to a shelf edge with starting prices, a client roster with the year each first went to press, and a brief form that opens on a row of pack-type pictograms close the page.

The Portfolio app is wired throughout: each job is one item with its range shot as the cover and the front, back, label, dieline, proof and shelf shot behind it, filed under Food, Drinks, Beauty and Home. The index reads as a board of cover tiles and every job page stacks its pictures full width with captions.

Patua One carries the headings, Nunito Sans the text and Inconsolata every chip, ticket and barcode code, under a header with an on-press status lamp and a manifest footer with its own barcode. Swap in your own pack shots, fill the four fields on each item, and the pegboard, the tickets and the job pages redraw themselves.
