About Iris
Iris is for illustrators whose work should speak before any text does. The homepage opens with a wall of eight tiles that fills the screen: seven pieces of artwork and one quiet tile carrying the name, a single line and a link. Below it sit one short statement, a hairline list of the kinds of commission you take, the six newest pieces pulled live from the Portfolio app, and a closing line that invites a message.
The Work page is a masonry grid with category filters and quiet captions beneath each piece; every item opens as a narrow single-column story with the client, medium, size and year inline above the notes and the artwork. About pairs a short first-person text with a portrait and a fact list, then a numbered set of sketchbook studies. Prints & links runs on the Links app with centred outline buttons for a print shop, a book, a newsletter and stockists. Contact leads with an email address, keeps the form one click away, and answers the four questions every commission starts with.
The design is a white gallery wall: no accent colour, corners squared off, shadows off, and one humanist typeface, Alegreya Sans, set small so the artwork supplies all the colour. Portfolio and Links are wired; Resume and Blog are off. The demo content belongs to a natural-history illustrator working in ink and watercolour, and every image, heading and caption is replaceable from the dashboard.
