Paperclip - Illustration portfolio template

About Paperclip

Paperclip is a one-page showcase template for concept artists, matte painters and anyone whose work is painted for the screen - keyframes, environments, vehicles and props for games and film. The site is the art department's dailies review: a cool near-black wall, light quiet type, one monitor-blue accent, and every warm note coming from the frames themselves.

The page opens on one full-screen keyframe with the artist's name lower left and three of the picture's own details magnified in small callout windows beside it, each numbered and pinned on the frame. Under it runs the board: thirty frames packed edge to edge at mixed tile sizes, every one slated in its corner with the project and shot number on hover, and every one opening in a lightbox. The projects then sit on an edit timeline - one track per category, one clip per project, each clip as long as the number of frames behind it - and every clip opens its full gallery.

The person gets one strip: a small portrait, sixty words, a row of chips for what can be commissioned, and a production slate of cells for role, base, years and tools, closing on an availability lamp. The clients roll past as slowly crawling end credits, and the page fades out on a contact form set over a dark, empty lot in fog.

Lato in its light weight for the name and titles, Sarabun for the sentences and Inconsolata for every slate, label and meta line. The header carries a status rail with a lit lamp and hides it on scroll; the footer is an end card with the menu as a line and three cells for email, base and status. The Portfolio app is wired with twelve galleries of nine frames in four categories, on a tiles index and a slider detail page. Resume, links and blog are off.
