About Nadia

Nadia is a minimalist portfolio for someone whose work is drawn rather than photographed, and it is built to get out of the way of it. The page is cool paper, a plain grotesk, hairlines instead of borders, and no card, fill or shadow anywhere in it. Type stays small and quiet so the pictures can run large.

The homepage opens on a slider set beside the title rather than under it: the drawings step through a fixed frame while the name, a short paragraph and a stacked register of working facts hold the left. Below it the work arrives as editorial rows, and then the section that gives the template its argument, three versions of one subject made to three different time budgets, each with a figure, what that budget buys and what it costs.

Four inner pages carry the rest. Workshops runs an hour-by-hour account of a teaching day, a dated list of where the next ones are, a practical three-column brief and a rate card. Prints is a shop of signed editions over a framed-on-the-wall gallery, the paper stocks specified card by card, and the shipping questions answered plainly. Studio is an interview, the figures behind it, a sketchbook grid and a press register. Commissions holds the enquiry form, the rates and the terms worth settling first.

The Portfolio app runs the series on a spacious two-column index with an understated caption row, and a detail page that leads with the picture, sets the specification as a ruled ledger and stacks the rest of the images one per row.

Set in Heebo over Hind on cool cartridge paper with one deep Prussian blue accent that never competes with the artwork. Built for an illustrator, and it suits any practice whose work is made by hand and wants a page that says nothing over it.
