About Scribble

Scribble is a one-page showcase for a character designer - the person a series, a game or a brand hires to invent its cast. Instead of a hero, the homepage opens on a height chart: cut-out characters standing on ruled blue-pencil lines at their real heights, each with its centimeters penciled above its head, and you in the lineup as the first figure with your name under your feet. Every figure scrolls in as a black silhouette and fills with color, the way a designer checks a cast before drawing a single face.

Below the chart, every production is a cast sheet: a wide cover, the studio and year written by hand, and a roll of the cast's heads that opens the full gallery in the Portfolio app - turnarounds, expression sheets, props, the lot. Your about section is written up as a character sheet of your own, with a pencil-framed portrait, three mood heads, a likes and dislikes list and a status lamp that says whether you are open for a new cast. Three rate columns state what a series cast, a game roster or a mascot family starts from, and the brief form asks the questions a character designer actually needs answered: who they are, how many, and when.

The look is warm bond paper and col-erase blue - the underdrawing color of every animation desk - with a rounded display face, a clean reading face and a hand-written note face for every label, tag and height. A dashed clear-space box frames your name in the header, a centimeter ruler runs across the top of the footer, and section titles carry a wavy pencil underline.

Portfolio is wired with ten sample casts of ten images each in four categories, so the wall, the cast sheets and the galleries are populated the moment you start; swap the figures for your own transparent cut-outs and the chart measures them for you.
