Reset a forgotten password

Request a password reset link from the login page, choose a new password, and what to do if the email does not arrive.

On this page
  1. Step 1: request a reset link
  2. Step 2: choose a new password
  3. If the link has expired
  4. Accounts created with Google
  5. The email does not arrive

If you cannot remember your password, you can choose a new one from the login page. We email a link to the address on your account; the link works once and expires after an hour.

  1. Open the login page and click Forgot password? next to the password field.
  2. On the Reset your password page, enter your Email address and click Send reset link.

You see the same message whether or not an account exists for that address. This is deliberate: it stops anyone from using the form to find out which addresses have a FolioPage account.

Step 2: choose a new password

  1. Open the email titled Reset your FolioPage password and click the button in it.
  2. On the Choose a new password page, check your Email address, enter a New password of at least 8 characters and repeat it under Confirm new password.
  3. Click Save new password.

You are logged in straight away and taken to your dashboard. We also send a confirmation titled Your FolioPage password was changed so you have a record of it.

Note: The reset also switches off Keep me logged in on other browsers, so they ask for the new password the next time they need to sign in. Resetting your password is the right first step if you think someone else has access to your account.

Each link can be used once and stops working an hour after it was sent. An expired link shows "That password reset link is invalid or has expired". Go back to the login page and request a new one.

Accounts created with Google

If you signed up with Continue with Google, your account does not have a password yet. The reset flow still works and is the way to regain access if you lose your Google account: the email is titled Set a password for your FolioPage account and the link lets you choose one. After that you can log in with your email and password, and Google keeps working too. See Sign in with Google.

The email does not arrive

  • Check the spam and promotions folders. The message comes from [email protected].
  • Make sure you entered the address your account uses. If you have more than one address, try the others.
  • If you only ever used Continue with Google, the account is under your Google address.
  • To protect inboxes, we send at most a few reset emails per address per hour. If you requested several in a row, wait an hour and try once more.
  • Still nothing after that? Get in touch through the contact page from the address on your account.
