About Ayla

Ayla is a multi-page template for a jewelry designer who sells work that carries a mark. It is built around one idea: the small punched cartouches struck into precious metal, which appear under the masthead, over the corner of the portrait, on the caption rule of every piece, and beside every stockist, stage and material, so the whole site reads as a certificate rather than a shop window.

The homepage opens on a tall plate beside the claim, closed by a ruled strip of struck cells. Under it, a register explains each of the five marks and what it certifies, then the collections come in as plates whose caption line carries the metal fineness as a punch. An about block sets a portrait with the maker's own punch struck over its corner, a stock list ledgers the metals and stones on the bench, a commissions block faces what the client brings against what they get back, and the page closes on stockists, client quotes, press notices and a capacity band that shows how much of the year is left.

Four inner pages carry the depth. About runs long-form writing with a pull quote and a wide plate, a numbered set of workshop plates, the year in figures and a line from the person who taught her. Commissions sets out four routes, a stage register that names whose hands each stage passes through, a price taken apart into metal, hours, marking and overhead, and a grouped FAQ. Stockists lists every counter with its city code and what it carries, then the trade terms a shop buys on. Contact splits the inbox into three named desks above one form, with a board of what is happening this month.

The Portfolio app runs the collections, grouped by name rather than filtered, with each piece's metal, weight, bench hours and edition struck across the top of its own page. Type is Cinzel over Barlow; the palette is smoked bistre and warm white with one amethyst accent.
