About Lookbook

Lookbook is a one-page template for a fashion stylist whose work is booked by luxury houses, magazines and a few private clients, and who wants the site to read like a bound lookbook rather than a portfolio grid. Every picture is a numbered look set in a stone mat with one engraved caption line under it: the look number, the title, the photographer and the publication.

The page opens on a title page - a season line, the name in a thin serif, and the first three looks of the season as matted plates - and turns straight to the plates: six credited looks pulled live from the Portfolio app, with the whole book one click away. An about block captions the stylist herself as Look 00 and credits what she is wearing. The edit lists six pieces from other houses she would buy this season, with a line on why each earns its place.

The booking half of the page answers the practical questions before the first email: four engagements as roman-numeral cards, each closed by how it is booked and its lead time; a rate card set as a printed insert with grouped rows and honest on-request lines; the five steps of a booking; the fitting room as facing pages across a drawn gutter; the houses and titles as one run of names; the press typeset as an as-seen-in band; notes from editors on correspondence cards; the usual questions in a centred column; a ribbon-marked availability band; and an appointment card with an occasion select and a strip of desks saying who answers what.

The design is luxury in the quiet sense: ivory paper, a stone mat, near-black ink and one aubergine used only for links, numerals and the ribbon. Martel at its lightest weight for headings, Mulish in tracked small caps for labels, double hairlines in the header, the footer and the rate card, and a header that folds to a slim bar on scroll. The Portfolio app is wired with twelve looks of three images each on the plates index and the look detail, where the credits print as one ruled register under the look number.
