About Kaan

Kaan is a one-page site for people who are booked by the photograph and paid by the hour: hair stylists and colourists, makeup and nail artists, anyone whose work is a transformation and whose diary is the business.

Everything on it is built as a facing pair. The cover stands two tall plates either side of a column of type, split by a hairline seam. The corrections block sets before and after meeting at that same rule, with the technique, the formula, the sittings and the hours in the chair ruled underneath, because that is the half of the job nobody photographs. The aftercare block faces what keeps a colour against what takes it out, and closes on the intervals that decide what the upkeep actually costs.

Between them the page does the work a booking business needs: a lookbook drawn live from the Portfolio app, a self-interview beside a portrait, a drifting strip of frames from the room, five bookable services, a rate sheet priced by the work rather than by hair length, the four steps of an appointment, client quotes, press and awards, the questions that come up every week, and a booking form with the studio hours beside it. A booking bar rides the top of every page carrying the next free slot and a permanent Book button.

It is dark by design: a neutral near-black ground so lit work is the only bright thing on the screen, one dusty rose accent doing every button, rule and active state, high-contrast serif headings in Old Standard TT over Urbanist, and section headings numbered like an index.

Portfolio is wired and filled - twelve looks across four categories, each carrying the finished frame, the before, and a macro detail, with a spec panel that pins the formula beside the pictures on every detail page. A Links page gathers booking, directions, aftercare and the socials in one place.
