About Noemi

Noemi is a one-page site for a nail artist, and for anyone else whose work is a set of colors a client picks from: colorists, lash and brow studios, dyers, glaze and ink makers. It is built around one idea. The artist's own shade ring is published as content, and the site keeps coming back to it.

The ring shows up first as a band of struck color under the masthead, then as a wheel of tip-shaped chips set around the circular hero plate, then as an eighteen-swatch library where every shade carries its number, its finish and how many coats it takes, and finally as the formula ruled under every piece of work, so a visitor can point at a set and order it by number rather than by describing it.

The page runs deep on purpose. Recent work comes from the Portfolio app, each item printing the shades it was mixed from. There is a drawn menu of six shapes with a note on who each one suits, a hanging board of sample tips that opens into a lightbox, a first-person about block that closes on the three shades the artist cannot work without, and a services list whose tracks show how long each appointment actually lasts rather than only how long it takes.

Money is answered plainly. The rate card lists whole jobs, then prices the art by the piece and multiplies each rate up to a full set with the arithmetic printed underneath. An hour-by-hour walk through the appointment, client quotes filed against the job they came from, a dated record of press and collaborations, and a printed set of questions lead into a booking form that carries the pre-appointment checklist and the deposit and cancellation terms in the column beside it.

The design is chalk lilac and ink with one saturated lacquer fuchsia, set in Josefin Sans over Signika Negative, with square corners, no shadows, and a mobile menu that opens as a circle growing out of the toggle. The work supplies every other color on the page.
