About Amara

Amara is a one-page site for a portrait studio, built around the thing a headshot photographer actually has to prove: that everyone who books a sitting comes back looking like themselves, under the same light.

The homepage opens on a single portrait standing in a lit studio sweep, with a four-cell rail underneath carrying the facts a client checks first - where the studio is, what you shoot on, how long the turnaround takes and when the next dates are. A booking bar runs above the whole page with an availability strip that rolls away as you scroll, so the current dates are the first thing read and the Book a sitting button never leaves the screen.

Below that the work is shown twice, in two shapes. Session rows give one sitter per band, their name and role beside the four frames their sitting delivered, so a visitor reads consistency across different people rather than six best pictures of six strangers. The portfolio wall then shows every sitting at once with a filter rail, and each one opens onto a spec bar of sitting length, looks and deliverables above the full set.

The rest of the page answers what a booker asks before writing: the four kinds of session on offer, how a shoot runs from the first email to the files, a ruled rate sheet with duration and delivery chips against every price, quotes from past sitters, published and shortlisted work, questions about wardrobe and licensing, and a booking form that asks what the picture is for and how many of you there are.

Cool studio grey, ink black and one steel blue, set in Red Hat Display over Nunito Sans, so the photographs carry the colour and the site stays the frame. The Portfolio app is wired up with ten sittings across four categories; Resume, Links and Blog are switched off.
