About Lumen

Lumen is a one-page portfolio for an architecture and interiors photographer, built the way a set-out drawing is: a grid, a datum, and the work packed onto it at full size.

The cover pairs the name at poster scale with a ruled title block of four facts - practice, base, clients, booking - then draws a lettered datum across the measure and hangs one wide plate beneath it. Under that comes the wall: thirty photographs packed down four lettered bays at their natural ratios, nothing cropped, two positions deliberately left empty so the ground shows through, and a hairline witness line under every frame printing its plate number and what the picture is. Any frame opens full size in a lightbox.

The projects stand next as a colonnade of full-height bays, one per gallery. Resting on a bay widens it and narrows its neighbours, so a visitor opens one project at a time without leaving the row, and each bay prints its location, its year and how many frames it holds. Behind them the Portfolio app carries ten galleries of eleven captioned images in four categories, with a works index that sets every project as a plate with its register in the margin, and a detail page built as a specification sheet - the project's fields as a strip of ruled cells, the plates on the grid, the captions standing in the margin beside them.

Three short strips close the page: sixty words about the photographer with the facts drawn as a dimension chain, three services called out with numbered balloons on leader lines the way parts are marked on an assembly drawing, and a booking form laid on one strip of hairline cells.

The design is Swiss and quiet - M PLUS 1p over Heebo, square corners, no shadows, a limewash grey ground with cobalt kept for links and the call to action. The header holds the wordmark inside a dashed clear-space box with dimension ticks; the footer is a grid sheet with a colophon.
