About Photona

Photona is a dark one-page portfolio template for underwater photographers, dive guides and anyone whose work happens below the surface - built so the page itself reads as a descent, from a sunlit hero to a near-black footer.

The homepage opens on a full-bleed underwater photograph with a depth ruler down one edge and a dive-computer readout strip along the fold. From there, every section sits one shade deeper: a gallery that pins frames to a drawn depth scale, a portfolio grid with a depth gauge beside each cover, an about block that plots a real dive profile, round instrument dials for the numbers, a masthead board of publications, services mapped onto the water column they work in, a process drawn as a descent-and-return curve, pricing stacked as depth zones, testimonials filed against the jobs they came off, an FAQ with a reassuring aside for first-time divers, a diary of upcoming charter dates, and a contact form drawn as a dive slate.

The design pairs Exo 2 headings with Source Sans Pro body text on an abyssal blue-black ground, with a single bioluminescent cyan accent for links, buttons and the instruments. Mono depth figures run through the margins, and the section eyebrows count the meters as you scroll.

The Portfolio app is wired in with ten example series - blackwater drifts, mantas, humpbacks, sharks, wrecks, cenotes, kelp forests and reefs - each with captioned images and info fields that feed the depth gauges. Swap in your own expeditions, rewrite the copy in your voice, and the whole page follows your colors and fonts from the design settings.
