About Sepia

Sepia is a dark showcase template for fashion photographers who want the pictures to do the talking. The whole site is one page set on a near-black ground, and the work hangs like a street of flagship windows at night: every story is a lit plate behind glass, with a hairline bezel, a faint sheen, and a small etched caption naming the client and the frame count.

The page opens on a full-screen cover photograph inside an inset hairline frame, with nothing on it but the name and one quiet line. Below it, ten portfolio stories hang in a slow rhythm of one wide window then a pair, followed by a filmstrip of frames you can drag, scroll, or page through with hairline arrows. A short about strip with a matted portrait, three priced commission columns split by hairline rules, and a mailto-first contact spread close the page in under 150 words - the voice lives in the captions.

The Portfolio app carries the depth: ten galleries of ten to eleven frames each, filed under Editorial, Campaign, Beauty, and Backstage, with an index that hangs every cover uncropped on a shared line and a detail page that opens each story with a spec bar and walks you to the next one. Custom info fields for client, year, and stylist feed the captions on the homepage and the detail pages.

The design is quiet luxury: Didact Gothic set in wide-tracked caps over Mulish, ivory type on near-black, a champagne rose accent held to hairlines and small caps, square corners, and slow fades. Swap the stories for your own, keep the light low, and the template does the rest.
