About Marco

Marco is a multi-page template for a home cook who writes everything down: a food blogger, a supper-club host, a recipe developer, or anyone who cooks well enough that people keep asking how.

The whole site sits on a dark walnut ground, the way a counter looks under a kitchen lamp at night, so photographs of food carry the colour and the type stays out of their way. Headings are set in the slab serif Zilla Slab, body copy in Cabin, and one leaf-green accent does all the work.

The homepage opens on a recipe card: a punched ring, a filing cut on the corner, a strip of timings and a signature beside a full photograph of the dish. Below it run a strip of what is in season, an about spread with a portrait and a facts table, a plate wall of recent recipes, a pantry of labelled shelves, four photo panels of what the owner can be hired for, a numbers band, postcard testimonials, the latest notes and a closing call to action.

Four inner pages carry the rest. About has the long story with a timeline, a Currently block, a filmstrip and the CV card. The kitchen explains the method, compares two frames of the same dish on a drag slider, stacks five full-bleed photographs and answers the questions about kit and light. The table is the supper club: a printed set menu, dated bookings and three prices. Contact is a postcard form with an FAQ and a row of channels.

Four apps are wired and filled. Portfolio runs the recipes as a catalogue with a dossier detail page, twelve of them across five categories, each with three captioned photographs and fields for time, yield, season and card number. Resume is a kitchen CV with an automatic PDF, Blog is a notebook of posts, and Links collects the newsletter and the social channels.

Swap the palette, the fonts, the photographs and the copy, or drop the sections you do not need. The sample recipes, dates and notes are placeholders for your own.
